Korea University announced plans to globalize its campus, including introducing real-time translation features in classrooms and making it easier for international students to access information.

Real reform will require sustained public pressure on highly selective private universities to start valuing economic diversity as much as other forms of diversity. That will make a much bigger difference than ending legacy admissions ever could.

진학사가 ‘자율전공선택제’로 대학에 입학한 대학생 1~2학년 153명을 대상으로 설문을 진행한 결과 응답자의 63%는 다시 대입을 치러도 무전공으로 지원할 정도로 만족스럽게 생각한다는 설문 결과가 나왔다. 빈센트 코엔 OECD 국가분석실장은 2024 한국경제보고서 기자회견에서 "노동시장 이중구조 탓에 스펙 쌓기 경쟁이 이뤄지고 있고 소위 말하는 골든 티켓을 추구하면서 사교육 비용도 증가하고 있다"고 꼬집었다.
